Yeffry was born in Maracay on December 8, 1987. He became interested in music since being a child, being motivated (among others) by his uncle Javier Marval (renowned Venezuelan guitarist and musician currently in Spain). At 10 he began playing drums with his brother Yefferson Marval (current Biotech’s guitarist), dedicating himself to play covers of big bands that filled the music scene at the time, such as Nirvana, Metallica and Guns and Roses. At 14 years old and because of a local drummer, he became interested in keyboard, made up sounds, the diversity of nuances and the big potential for innovation offered by this instrument, which led him to devote himself to play it, and to leave hand percussion. Soon, he began playing with several bands, sharing stages with some popular bands such as Mata Rica, Caramelos de Cianuro, Fauna Crepuscular and Guaco. As time passed by, Yeffry was building a reputation in the local music scene until early 2008, when was called to an audition with the progressive metal band from Maracay Sexto Sonar, who were very impressed by the huge talent of this young musician, who immediately joined them, bringing a new dimension to the musical quintet's complex development. In June of that year, gets in the popular recording studio SAEZSTUDIO, along with the band, in the city of Caracas, to record the band's first album "Enfrentando la Realidad", then embarking on a national tour during the last half of that year. Yeffry splits his work while develops and records a solo project called "Phantasien Regresion" which will involve the collaboration of famous musicians and artists of the national and international metal universe. During the first months of 2009, he started his own production company "YDS production" which is already working with some local bands and it’s own internet radio station "CONECTARADIO" where you can hear the best of rock in history.
